Manifesto Cyborg

According to the international health organization the concept of men and women refers to the social prestablished roles, behaviours, activities and conceptions of wright and wrong, to all of this comes the connotation of not only customs but the dehumanization of a person for the only labeling of what is asked of it.

In the other hand, the term cyborg tries to leave aside men and woman connotation. Donna Haraway began the cyborg manifesto, which is an essay that tries to stablish an alternative to the essentialist feminism. It’s known to produce a great polemic in academic and feminist worlds because of its trial of the eradication of gender. The general affirmation it’s the erase of distinction between animals and humanity and between humanity and machines, leaving a being untied from society, beliefs, institutions and natural cycles.

The video shows a person who  jumped from a building but didn’t fall, this, to prove the humanity without labels of each person, referring to the standards as the building and the person as the idea of a ruled label for women or man, this could be known because of the characteristics showed, for example the hair wasn´t as short or long as the standard of men or women, and was all dressed in black freeing itself from the color stereotype it was babbling the song’s lyrics and was also playing with the idea of jumping taking in consideration the people gathering around and flirting with the idea of not falling but advancing, it critics all about the social makeup, the infrastructure of society that gathers around a polemic to supposedly contained it and make it happen in its own “proper” way but suppress it.

 The dehumanization of people has a wide history known only by the revolution of its means. Nowadays we have to take out all the stereotypes of our minds and to start treating people like what they are, just people.To respect and develop social relationships in base of tolerance and acceptance.

This is why the concept of cyborg is so new and we really expect that some day maybe it will be aceepted.
